Before I became Roger Lam the businessman, I was Mr. Lam the assistant kindergarten teacher. I fell in love with marketing because it’s constantly evolving, requires empathy and creativity, and is actually a lot like education.
If you truly understand your (customer/student), you can develop an amazing (product/lesson plan) and communicate it with a (message/delivery style) that resonates.
I love connecting dots and bridging passions. In my past life, I co-founded a children’s literacy non-profit, managed websites for ed-tech startups, and hosted digital marketing workshops. I continue to practice growth marketing, content marketing, and social media management in the education, tech, and food industries.
Today, I am an Associate Product Marketing Manager (APMM) in Google’s growth marketing team, focused on SEO. I also serve on the board of directors for Students Expanding American Literacy (SEAL), the non-profit I started 6 years ago. In my free time, you can find me stuffing my face on Instagram as @rogerlamchop or writing my first children’s book.
